Ministers of Care
Ministers of Care are persons who represent the parish in bringing news of parish life and the Eucharist to the homebound.
- Who can do this? Any parish member who is an active Catholic may be trained to take communion to the Homebound. The parish provides the training and the Pyx (the container for the Eucharist) for use as long as the person is a Minister of Care.
- How often does a person visit the homebound? The time and frequency is negotiated between the Minister of Care and the person who is homebound, the time is usually once a week.
- Masses of Annointing are scheduled throughout the year, and take place at a weekend liturgy or on a Tuesday evening.
